Bean goes to Busch Gardens

We finally had a weekend with no plans, no visitors, no extra housework...so we headed to Williamsburg for a visit to Busch Gardens. We wanted to get there early afternoon so that we could head back home before the sun set and the goblins came out for Howl-O-Scream.

It was already crowded when we arrived and we had to park across the street and ride the tram in. But, we got pics of Bean's first tram ride (of course)...

We headed on in and walked by the beautiful Clydesdales. Bran tried to get pictures, but the BG photo lady yelled at him. (Which, let me just say, is garbage. Even at Disney World they let you take your own pics. Blech.) But anyways, Caleb loved the horse. He touched her snout very gently and giggled at her.

From the stable, we headed to Ireland and visited Jack O'Lantern...he's a lot scarier than he used to be! But Caleb didn't seem to care.

We had a fun day. We just walked around, took in the scenery, watched some shows.
...and then, we suddenly realized, that we'd become our parents. Yup. We were pushing a baby in a stroller and "taking in the sights." Holy crap.
But, at least Bean was riding in style!

We had a fun day, though. We surveyed the Land of the Dragons and the Sesame Street Forest of Fun for future use. Obviously, Caleb is too small to ride anything, but it was sweet watching the other little kids having such a good time.
The two things Caleb was able to ride were the train around the countries and the carousel. I had to sit on a bench, but he went on his first carousel ride! =) Daddy filmed us while we rode.

We grabbed a pizza in the Fest Haus and watched the Halloween show. It was very Rocky Horror...let's just say that the nurses were wearing very tiny uniforms! It was a fun show, though, and we headed toward Italy before going home.
I think that just about every kid in Southeast Virginia has a "grape bucket" picture. You know, like I Love Lucy when she and Ethel were stomping the grapes? We had to, of course, get pics with our little guy. Bean's first grape bucket photos!!!

It was a super fun day, but by the time we left, the sun was setting and the breeze was cool. We rode the tram back to the lot, and someone was all tuckered out...
