Being the old fart parents we are these days, we decided to take Caleb to Hickory High School's homecoming on October 7th. It was nice seeing some of our former teachers. We sat with the Warrens near the band, which Caleb
loved, by the way. He seemed to be quite the fan of the HHS drum line!
And because I have become one of
those parents, I dressed him up for the occasion. He was sporting an absolutely
precious football hat made by one of my dearest mommy friends, Jackie.
We got stomped (honestly, why would they pick the Oscar Smith game for our homecoming? Those guys are nationally ranked!!!) but had a wonderful time visiting our old stomping grounds. Afterall, Brandon and I got to know each other at that school...we ate lunch together for 3 years =) It was pretty special to take our son back to the place where we began our friendship all those years ago!
