There were four girls in high school who were inseparable. They called themselves the "chickens," a reference to a funny albeit less than appropriate inside joke. They were all in chorus together and loved to raise a little Hell when they could. Fast forward to 15 years later; they've all moved on with their lives, they live in different places, but when they get together, it's like they didn't miss a moment together.
And so is the story of my chickens.
These girls are my besties. I love them! Whenever we can all get together, we most certainly do. It's so nice to pick up where we left off. We catch up on our lives, vent about our husbands, and take turns chasing each others' children. It always ends too quickly!
We all met up at Friendly's for lunch. It was the first outing where Caleb got to meet his chicken Aunties.

| Auntie Daleena watches the chaos...I'm sure her ovaries shrank a bit after that outing! hahahaha |
It was so wonderful to see my girls again. Our outings are far too rare these days. And I can't tell you how cool it was to see my high school girlfriends (and I've known Marcie far longer!) and have them hold my son. Wow. We've come a long way since graduating in '99. These are the girls who know my life, know my secrets, and still share my heart.
...and now Caleb gets to love my Chickens, too!
